Kitab is a platform exclusively for Salafi Muslims seeking marriage — built around the wali-first process, with no chat, no swiping, and no compromise on adab.
A reminder for today
How Kitab works
Sign up and build your profile
Pass a short manhaj review. Sisters register a wali (imam is fine). Write your profile honestly.
Get one carefully curated match per week
No browsing, no swiping. We pick one candidate per cycle. Both sides see the full profile only after the match is generated.
Accept, wali approves, supervised conversation
If both accept, the sister's wali reviews and approves. A three-way thread (wali + brother + sister) opens. When you find your spouse, mark it — both accounts close.
What makes Kitab different
Salafi-only, by design
Manhaj review at signup. Wrong answers mean no account.
Carefully curated, not algorithm-pleasing
One match per week, hand-picked for compatibility. No swiping. No engagement loop.
Wali in from the first conversation
After both accept, the sister's wali is notified. Every message lives in the wali-supervised thread. No private DMs.
Privacy by default
Only your kunya is shown. Photos stay private until both sides accept. Your data isn't sold.

A note for walis
We built Kitab to put you back at the center of the marriage process — alongside, never overriding, the woman whose marriage you guard.
When she signs up:
- Phone code on YOUR phone to confirm an active wali.
- Separate email magic link confirming you accept the role.
- When both members accept their weekly match, you are notified. Review the brother's profile, approve or decline in a private wali↔brother thread.
- Once you approve, a three-way thread opens — you, the brother, and the sister. You stay present from the first hello to nikah.
A reminder of the Sharee'ah on the wali's role:
The wali is a TRUST (amaanah), not a position of unchecked authority. The Quran warns against `udl — withholding women from suitable marriage. Allah says: "And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their [former] husbands if they agree among themselves on an acceptable basis" (al-Baqarah 2:232). Scholars derive the broader prohibition of `udl from this verse. The Prophet ﷺ also allowed Khansa bint Khidam رضي الله عنها to annul a marriage her father had arranged without her consent (Sahih al-Bukhari 5138).
Practically: decline what is clearly impermissible. For everything else, consult her. If a brother is suitable in his deen and character, withholding her from him is sinful even if you personally would prefer someone else.
We are not here to replace you. We are here to surface qualified, manhaj-aligned candidates and let you fulfill your role with better information than the community alone can provide.
